AGM 2008 yesterday night was a success as well as a relief for the 22nd committee.
turnout for the night was a WOW. they were many alumnis whom i’ve never seen before who turn up. end up we must add more chairs in the function room. thanks for all the people who turned up. the alumnis, coaches, advisor and of cause members of NACC.
to the 22nd committee who have brave through all obstacles with me and jiun. thanks for all your hard work and peserverance.
to jiun: my dearest pressie. although we might not see eye to eye with one another view sometimes, but we make sure we talk it out and understand what both of us are thinking. it was really not an easy job for you to take on but rest assured, you have did it well. without you standing in front of NACC and braving all the obstacles that comes, the club will surely have not make it for the past one year.
to brian: thanks for not giving up the sprinting team. i can still remember that you always reprimand yourself for not doing a good job because the team is not bonded enough and the attendance sucks but seriously, it takes both hands to clap. if they don’t have the passion in them anymore, no matter what you do, you also cannot force them to come back right? don’t doubt yourself. you’ve simply be a wonderful captain all this while. thanks for the hard work!
to weizheng: thanks for helping me out when i need help. i always find this curly hair guy to help me if i need help immediately. he’s someone who is willing to do all the shit work. although he likes to EMO when things screwed up or when people doesn’t appreciate his work, but i can say that he’s someone whom you can rely to definitely. thanks curly! it was certainly nice having you in the committee. no wonder jaime pick you, brian and me to be the QM when he left.
to all my batch people. elva, jiaying, serene, geraldine, brian, alfred, collin, ethan, jeremy, weizheng: we are all the survivors in sprinting team!!! many have left throughout the years and i’m glad we have stayed, survive and made good friendships. looking back at all those photos, i must say time really flies. all the funs we had, all the trainings we had. i will never forget. it was really fun being around with you people.
many people whom have heped me and given me the opportunity to shine. thanks! i truely appreciated it. i have really learn a lot throughout the years.
thanks to lex and peter for giving me the post. for having the trust in me that i can handle more than a QM post. hope i never let you both down.
thanks to jaime for putting me into the committee. frankly speaking, i wasn’t sure if i could perform up to your expectations at first cause you were really a good QM.
thanks junsheng for your guidance. i still remember you are the one who is beside me when i was still struggling with T1 encouraging me not to give up. you are simply an idol to all of us for your passion in canoeing. you taught me what is “Don’t just row it. Love it”.
it will certainly take me hours to thank of all the people who have helped me in my 3 years of canoeing. for people who i didn’t mention and you know you have helped me before. don’t worry! you are not forgotten.
to the new 23rd committee. it will be a year full of challenges for you all but i’m sure under romeo and christabel guidance, you all will be safe and sound. listen to both of them alright?
christabel: don’t slack ok? you can do it de. rd, caps india, all you handle it well right? during caps india when we are in the room, you told me that you cannot imagine how nacc will be once the 22nd comm step down. see, you care so much for the club. come on, now you can do your every bit to keep nacc going. don’t doubt yourself. cause you are BEL!
junhan: aid bel on her post and keep the sprinting team going ok? let it become more stronger and win more medals back for the club.
lawrence: don’t emo already ok? trust that you can handle this post well. we see potential in you, that’s why we pick you. anything you still can ask junhan or the other seniors or alumni around. we will be there to help you along.
yaojun: you told me that you are very stress you cannot handle this post. it’s not an easy job i know. definitely lots of sai-kang work to be done but since you are given the space to shine, why not take the chance to learn. trust me, you will learn a lot out of it.
darren: hello my dear secretary cum treasurer. you’ve got to have more confidence that you can do things well ok? you have did it with caps india organiser. all you need is MUCH MUCH MORE confidence. believe that you will be fine alright?
